WeWork Dublin + Germany.

Client Brief:

To provide a cost-efficient control system which will allow multiple users easily use the building and offer the required energy savings. Systems required for multiple sites across Dublin and Germany

Design considerations:

The system provided needs to be simple and easy to use by multiple occupants. Given the shared working spaces that WeWork provide the various locations in the building can be used by many different companies or people and for different functions throughout the day. This made it imperative that we offered reliable, functional systems with ease of use being of the upmost importance.

Equipment chosen:

With ease of use and cost in mind we chose a mix of Philips Dynalite networked controls for meeting rooms and common areas that required scene setting and then Philips OccuSwitch standalone PIRs for open plan and cellular offices that only required occupancy control.

Project delivery:

These projects have a very short turn around form initial strip out to occupation, so Eclipse delivered all equipment in pre-wired control system enclosures. All equipment was pre-commissioned off site and along with detailed wiring schematics the electrical contractor was basically able to carry out the installation on a wire by numbers basis.

Commissioning:

Given that the systems were delivered mostly pre-commissioned our final on-site work was mainly for final scene setting, testing and client handover. Given that a number of these projects are based in Germany our offsite commissioning allows us to offer high level control systems to our client Specialist Technical Services at competitive costs.

Final product:

The final product delivered was a functional and cost-effective system which is user friendly and offers a comfortable space for the building occupants while allowing maximum energy savings.
